"As I considered what to share about the impact of donors financial support for scholarships and this school, I felt God calling me to be a little vulnerable. So please bear with me while I share a small part of my story.

About a decade ago, I lived in the Twin Cities and was just beginning to deepen my faith. My oldest daughter, who is now a sophomore in college, was in third grade, and my youngest children were just an infant and a one-year-old. At that time, I started to see the value of God’s Word in my life and wanted my daughter to attend a Christian school. But when we looked into the costs, it wasn’t an option for our family. The school we considered was fairly new and had limited scholarships available, so we had no choice but to continue with public schooling.

A year later, we moved to the Wadena area and soon began attending a local church. You can imagine my excitement when I heard there was going to be a new Christian School in the area. But in 2020, when the announcement came that the school would finally open, I found myself facing disappointment again. By then, I understood more than ever the importance of God in my and my children's lives. I knew that my children needed to learn about God, be surrounded by Godly staff and teachers who would pray with and for them, and have role models who lived out their faith daily. But I was now a single mom with three daughters, two of whom I hoped could attend the school. Once again, I faced the reality that I couldn’t afford to provide them with the Godly education I longed for them to have.

And that’s where you all came in! During a difficult season in our lives, when my children needed a daily renewal of God’s hope, truth, and promises—when they needed to see loving people, teachers, and leaders not just teaching them the way but living it out—you made that possible. Your commitment to ensuring that no child is turned away due to finances changes lives... forever.
