"While I don't wish to speak negatively about the local public school system, I believe it's crucial for sponsors to understand the significance of their generosity and the exceptional quality of education provided at Verndale Area Christian Academy (VACA). It's important that both sponsors and potential parents recognize the key differences that set VACA apart.
I am currently raising four children, and their experience in the public school system was challenging. They faced stress, negativity, bullying, and a non-Christian environment daily, which led to them being labeled as "bad kids." While I know there are many dedicated faculty members in that system, some of the staff I interacted with failed to address critical issues like bullying and safety. My children’s Christian values often resulted in negative treatment from both peers and staff, leading to a decline in their performance as they dreaded returning to school each day. I feared I might have to homeschool them, feeling unable to counter the "progressive, non-Christian" mentality of key staff members.
Everything changed when my children were accepted into VACA. They are now thriving academically and spiritually, gaining a deeper understanding of the Bible and the importance of holding onto their morals and cherished Christian beliefs. They love school again, and I see their passion for learning and their dreams for the future reignited. It’s incredible to hear them talk about their ambitions for higher education—something I thought might be lost amid the struggles they faced before.
At VACA, our family was welcomed with unconditional love, understanding, and kindness. I no longer worry about my children's safety or what might happen during their school day. Instead, I take great joy in witnessing their growth and happiness. I pray for continued blessings on this school, its faculty, and the generous sponsors who have made such a difference in our lives and so many others. Without the support of scholarships and funding, attending this amazing school wouldn't have been possible for us. The teachers—truly angels—have had a life-changing impact on our family, and we are forever grateful.
We pray for VACA's continued growth, hoping that it can expand its educational offerings to serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade. We ask for blessings on the school building's capacity to grow and for the teachers needed to fulfill this precious mission."
