"My journey with Verndale Area Christian Academy (VACA) began in September of 2019. I received a call from my daughter, who was unable to care for her 4-year-old son, and she asked my husband and me to take him in. At that time, my husband was working on the road, and I was working full-time. I needed daycare immediately! I called VACA, and they were able to secure a place for him in their daycare that very day.
The following year, my grandson was ready to start kindergarten. When I learned that he could continue his education at VACA, there was no question—this was where he would stay.
As he is a “very active” boy, I had concerns about sending him to public school, fearing he might be labeled as "just another difficult child." At VACA, he receives the individualized attention he needs, along with a faith-based education.
When he attends Sunday School, his teachers often compliment us on his knowledge of the Bible, and he loves sharing his favorite stories with our family. I know that he is truly cared for and loved at VACA. The teachers and staff who work with him are genuinely concerned about his well-being and go above and beyond to ensure his success. I am confident that my grandson will continue to thrive at VACA, and I am so grateful he is here!"
